Aftercare for New Tattoo

1. The artist will bandage your tattoo, to protect it from a possible infection. Leave bandage on for 2-4 hours.
2. With clean hands take the bandage off. Wash your tattoo thoroughly with warm soap and water. (Don’t use a washcloth just your hands). Assuring you remove all traces of blood, ink and plasma. Pat dry with a clean paper towel and let air dry for half an hour.
3. Once it is dry apply a thin layer of Aquaphor or A and D ointment. Don’t coat the tattoo to heavily.
4. Repeat the cleaning and applying ointment 2-3 times a day for 7 to 10 days.
5. Avoid itching or scratching the tattoo as it may cause it to fade or scar.

Aftercare for New Piercing

1. Wash you hands thoroughly before cleaning or touching your piercing for any reason.
2. Gently lather anti-bacterial non-fragrant soap around the piercing, rotate and rinse as needed.
1. If it is a oral piercing use a non-alcohol based mouth wash 2-3 times a day. Especially after eating etc.
3. Let the piercing air dry.
4. An anti-inflammatory such as Ibuprofen can be used for swelling.
5. Allow 4-6 weeks before changing the jewelry.
